We are well used to heading to the racecourse for the afternoon, but last Friday we headed to the golf course instead for the first Owners Golf Day.

We were delighted to welcome owners to the stables in the morning to see their horses and late morning we all headed over to Cumberwell Park for some golf.

It was an informal event with players of all abilities heading out for 18 holes, so the winners and losers were less important than the chance to get to know each other and have some fun on the fairways and the feedback suggested that we ticked that box!

Hopefully, this will be the first of what we can make an annual event.

We have celebrated a couple more winners on the racecourse since the last news post.  Ragamuffin overcame the soft conditions at Newton Abbot impressively and recorded a comfortable margin win.

We had another winner the day after the golf day when First Quest finished in front up at Cartmel.  Some of his owners were at Cumberwell the day before and will be delighted that the racing went better than their golf!

Our racing club horse, Deputy Jones, is entered at Perth next Monday and if you want to get involved in the ownership of her, then details of how to join the club are available on the club page which can be viewed by selecting “Ownership and Costs” and then “Racing Club” from the menu above.
