Another winner for the yard last week when The Twisler got his head in front at Fakenham.  Not having won for nearly two years it was great to see him back in the winner’s enclosure.  The winner was the first for Harry Reed back riding after breaking his arm in a fall back in August and it was good to see Harry back in the saddle and back riding winners.

It was a busy week for the members of the Neil Mulholland Racing Club who watched their new horse, The Weasel, run in a maiden hurdle at Fakenham on Friday and then the much-loved Doing Fine run in the Durham Grand National at Sedgefield on Sunday.

The Weasel made an encouraging return against some much more experienced rivals, whilst Doing Fine was not really suited by the pace of the race eventually finishing sixth.  The Weasel’s hurdling was decent given his inexperience over obstacles, whilst Doing Fine put in a great round of jumping he got out-speeded at the end of a slowly run race.

The Racing Club members seem sure to have plenty of fun over the winter season and if you would like to join them, then new members are always welcome.  Membership is £150 per month and members receive opportunities to visit the stables, go racing as an owner when the horses run and get a share of prize money won by the club horses.  Please see the racing club webpage for more details and get in touch if you would like more information.
