Runasimi River and Milkwood make it a double at Hereford

A fantastic day yesterday at Hereford Racecourse for the yard and connections with a great double from two nice young horses.

Jo Bridel's smashing young horse Milkwood followed on from his bumper win back in April, before having a well earned holiday, to come out and win the Sri Lanka The Jewel of Asia National Hunt Maiden Hurdle (2m) easily closing in at the last and quickening to lead on the run in to win by 4 1/2 lengths with James Best.

Runasimi River also followed on from winning her handicap hurdle at Warwick last month by winning the Amazing Sri Lanka Mares Handicap Hurdle (2m3f) with Ben Jones for owner Mrs Davies

The season has got off to a great start for the team, with 27 winners  and £241,301 in prize money to date.
